Chiropractic
And What It Can Do.
"The fundamentals"
Many people have different ideas as to what Chiropractic is and what it can do. With that in mind here is a brief attempt to clarify matters. In the UK Chiropractic has to be defined in terms of a profession that deals with injuries and conditions affecting the Skeletal Joints, Muscles, Ligaments, Tendons and Nerves. This means Chiropractors can certainly take on a very broad range of painful and limiting conditions that plague the UK's populations. Another view is that regular Chiropractic care can influence overall background health and wellbeing through the effects of optimisation of the Muscular Skeletal system. For example sleep is integral and foundational to health and it's certainly much easier to sleep when your body is comfortable lying in bed and certainly easier to work out in the gym when you're not carrying injuries. Your Chiropractor can also help you make healthier diet and lifestyle choices which can reduce the need to take pharmaceutical preparations. Then we have to talk about the different types of Chiropractic. Styles range from VERY light to quite firm however, the guiding principle is that nothing should hurt (although people do report aches and soreness often hours later due changes occurring as the healing response takes hold). Your Chiropractor is thoroughly trained over a rigorous 5 year course to know what treatment to apply, to what patient and when, This includes other modalities such as Soft Tissue work and Ultrasound and Interferential treatments. So, as you can see we're a very Broad Church but we all have one thing in common...that is making YOU the BEST version of yourself you can be!
